Scandal of grace

“Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.” Romans 5:7-8 AMP

In a world where everything around us is based on performance:  at work, we are paid for the hours we spend in the office , worldly people say I treat you the way you treat me , at the mall you get what you pay for and the list goes on. It is very easy to be mistaken that God is like that.

However God is not like that. He doesn't give us what we deserve. Jesus took the place we deserved. He did no sin(He walked righteously on the earth - 1 Peter 2:22) , in Him was no sin (He was born of a virgin, His life was from God - 1 John 3:5) , He knew no sin (He had no association with sin whatsoever - 2 Corinthians  5:21).

They found Him not guilty, yet they crucified Him. Because you & I were guilty. Jesus was made sin without deserving it so that you would be made righteous without deserving it. Not only that , He was cursed on that cross without deserving it so that you will live blessed without deserving it on this earth. I know this sounds too good to be true but that's the very reason our message is called "the gospel".

Grace is the expression of God's unconditional love for us. Love that's not dependent on our actions. The opening scripture explains it so clearly ; when we were yet sinners , He loved us and died for us!! These thoughts stir my faith. God loved me when I was very bad. This means His love for me is completely independent of my actions. Is this true? Emphatically yes! Look at that scripture again. This is the SCANDAL OF GRACE.

This applies in every area of your life , not just at salvation. Because of His love for you , doors you didn't deserve will open for you , places you could have never been by your own strength , you will go, relationships that are too good for you will come your way. God's grace will surprise you daily. Romans 5:2 says "...in this grace , we firmly stand". We live in favor daily glory to God!!

Prayer
Lord Jesus I thank you for your grace that is abundantly poured to me daily. I know I will not struggle in this life because you won the victory for me. Thank you for the knowledge of grace  that gives me rest and peace as I trust in your love. I am reigning and victorious in every situation because of your favor. Thank you Father in Jesus name! Amen๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”
Romans 5:17 KJV

Confidence towards God

1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Welcome friend to my world, a place where we swim daily in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and enveloped by the love of our Father God as we fellowship by the Holy Spirit. I am well assured of this very thing that He that began the good work in you shall surely bring it to fruition as we continually realize every good thing that is readily available for us in Christ Jesus.

My heart bleeds many times for many that have not been taught the word of righteousness, some that have been taught wrongly and those who have never taken time to study the scriptures for themselves so live by hearsay. However , I am grateful to God that truth has already won. The reason for many religions and cults around the world is in search of fellowship with God. This great scramble for God arises from many factors but the highest factor being a sense of inadequacy, unworthiness, a deep feeling of guilt and sin consciousness. However, Jesus Christ made the answer clear that no man can access the Father (God, the creator of heaven and earth) by any other means but through Him. (John 14:6) Why is this so?

The reason being God is righteous and totally holy that He cannot be approached by someone that has any sin. Now , when I say sin, many will think actions which are wrong but actions are only a result of a nature that is in a man. Look at this interesting scripture; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.. This is absolutely clear that many were called sinners, not because they had done wrong but because one man, Adam disobeyed God so this sin was thus imputed upon man. If this is true, and it is true; this means that no good actions could a man do to take him out of this state of sin.

Now , the gospel is this good news that Jesus Christ came glory to God. Let's fix our eyes on this beautiful scripture; Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. What a great message the whole world should receive and thank God you and me have the opportunity to share this with everybody we come across. Jesus Christ is that man who obeyed and His obedience brought unto us righteousness. Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. So it is the obedience of Jesus that made us who believed in Him as Lord of our life righteous apart from our works.

This is the moment sin was destroyed in the body of His death.Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. That word condemned means subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice. This calls for a shout, sin has been defeated! Sin has lost dominion, death no more has mastery over us, life has come, man has become the righteousness of God in Christ, there is no more judgement for him. Man can now approach God boldly just as Jesus Himself would do. Can you read this with me; Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have peace with God, He is not angry at us, He is happy about us, His arms are open for us, oh what a story of the man that has obtained righteousness by faith in Jesus!! This is a call to fellowship with Father God Himself. So why do we feel guilty sometimes?

Our opening scripture answers that question. Some have said it is the Holy Spirit , no , a thousand times no. How can He convict a righteous man, He can only witness that you are now a child of God meaning you have the nature of righteousness. It is your heart condemning you because you have not been rightly taught about righteousness. But God is greater than our heart glory to His name forever!!So if we fix our hearts by accepting the gift of righteousness, we have confidence with God and when we do , whatsoever we ask of Him, we receive!! Whatsoever we ask of Him, we receive!! You can ask your Father anything today and when you ask, receive it because He has given it to you. Be confident towards God.

Always a joy sharing with you, see you again next time. Keep on reading, keep on letting me know your thoughts and keep on sharing with your world. Much love.

Friend of God

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Greetings friend in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are awesome, beautiful, handsome , fearfully and wonderfully made. Friend, you are so precious to God and this whole week is your week to shine. There is a lifting in your life, you are going upwards and as we share together this week, you will have your faith raised to a whole 'nother level. I am over the top, so excited for what's happening as the word enters into us. This week's goal is not a secret, I will be sharing on "fellowship". I want you to fall in love with Jesus. Many are working on trying to impress God with their own works but I have news for you ; you will serve God more accidentally than you served Him on purpose if you fall in love with Jesus.

God loves you and there is nothing you can do about it!

The message of the gospel is that the great God, the creator of the world loves you so dearly that He sent His only Son to die in your place (when He died on that cross, your body of sin that separated you from God died and when He was buried , your past state was completely forgotten). Scriptures show us that Jesus then rose up from the dead, oh what a day that was when the Son of God, who is the first born from the dead broke the chains of death and rose up to a new life. If we died with Him, this means we were also raised with Him from the dead to a new life(2 Timothy 2:11). My favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17 and allow me to quote it for you, "If any man is in Christ, He is a new creation;old things are passed away; behold all things have become new." So , you became a new person, your spirit became alive to God. God is now your Father , you are now at peace with God forever, you are separated from darkness and brought into the kingdom of light. It is God that did all of it without your actions and it is Him that continues to work in you this new life by His Spirit in you. Grace was poured to us glory to God!

Our opening scripture is absolutely amazing. Abraham believed God; what a great message. Friend, have you believed God? Look what the scripture did not say, it did not say; Abraham did many good things or Abraham prayed a lot or Abraham begged God. NO, the bible says Abraham believed God! He received God's promise, look at what God said to Abraham in the scripture below:

Genesis 15:1 ....the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Each time I read such scriptures, my joy hormones are turned on! Read it again....This is how God speaks , this is His language. When Abraham heard this and many more words God spoke to Him, Abraham believed God. He hid those words in his heart and He never let them go. When He did it, he received righteousness, God approved Abraham as a righteous man, he could now stand in the presence of God with the same holiness that God has, he was transmitted into the God class. I will emphasize this over and over again, your righteousness has absolutely nothing to do with what you do or what you are going to do, it is based on your faith in what God did by Jesus Christ. After receiving righteousness, now He became the friend of God. What great love has the Father bestowed upon us that we could be friends with Him because of righteousness. God is no longer far from us but has come near us. You are a friend of God. Look at the message by the Great John:

1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

He said the reason why he was writing was for us to join them (the apostles) in the fellowship they had. And He said this fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Welcome to the great life! Fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Possibly you have been living in fear that something bad might happen to you or living in regrets about the past or you are in a terrible sickness or in a financial restraint or any situation stressing you. Friend , welcome to the friendship with God Himself, the creator of the world who loves you so dearly and cares for you watchfully. You can talk to Him about anything in the name of His Son Jesus.

God calls you friend.

Always a joy sharing with you, see you again next time. Keep on reading, keep on letting me know your thoughts and keep on sharing with your world. Much love.
